Rebel...

I wore this a couple of days ago when it was actually sunny in rainy England. I meant to post sooner but I have had a mad week.
I really liked wearing this outfit, it gives me an attitude for some reason. Maybe its the leopard print and the leather as a combination. My boots from ALDO were a great addition to my wardrobe and they are never far from my feet.
What is the main staple in your wardrobe?
And what outfit gives you that 'attitude' I was talking about?
Do you have an outfit which gives you a boost in attitude?

Silver sequins...

So I went to see Lily Allen last night. You either love her or hate her. Personally I love her and I think her style has progressed immensely (except for her trainers in this picture ha ha). I love her silver sequin jacket in this picture and think she is wearing it just right. I have had a predicament of the silver sequin variety lately...
(Picture taken by me, ask permission to post)

... I purchased a sequin jacket at New Look a couple of weeks ago. As much as I love its flamboyant nature I haven't had the chance to wear it yet. The dilemma is what exactly to wear it with without looking like a magicians assistant.

So dear readers... I ask you what SHALL I wear it with? Ideas in form of comments would be greatly appreciated.

100 New Fashion Designers...

Looking through my book of '100 New Fashion Designers' (Hywel Davies) I came across a few names that I haven't heard before. Now I must admit I love fashion but I don't by any means claim to be an expert. I admire other bloggers who find groundbreaking new designers themselves. But until I've got up to speed do forgive my ignorance...

0044PARIS

Seiichrio Shimamura says that 'contemporary fashion should be simple and minimal and yet suggest the beauty and freshness of the time.'
To me this collection seems so modern and forward thinking but so classic at the same time. I especially love the sheer fabrics and the draping.

EMILIO DE LA MORENA

These dresses are simply divine. I especially love the black dress with the sheer panels. I think I have a thing for sheer fabrics....

LOUIS DE GAMA

Louis de Gama uses such beautiful fabrics and such complementary colours. The lace leggings are especially beautiful, the detail is impeccable.

SEIKO TAKI

The draping, the juxtaposed fabrics... this collection is perfect. I especially love the top set of pictures... I really want that dress.

What designers have you recently discovered?

Tights...

Shirt - can't remember? Black skirt - H&M, Tights - Pamela Mann, Wedges - Steve Madden.

Madonna Vest - Stella McCartney for Comic Relief, Black Skirt - H&M, Tights - New Look, Boots - Peacocks.

Having being contacted by James over at Too Many Tights about my legwear I thought I'd post up a couple of photos. I actually have a whole draw full of tights, I love them, they always brighten up an outfit. You can only see a small amount of my stripey tights on the image above but you get the idea.

Post me a picture of your favourite legwear...

Topshop...

I'm loving what Topshop has to offer at the moment. If I had some money to spare these would all be on my list. I actually had the PVC skirt but I had to take it back due to a hole at the back of it. I went to get a replacement and the others also had imperfections. So not very good quality but nice all the same.

Paris Fashion Week... take seven... ok this is getting ridiculous...

Thigh highs thigh highs!! Vuitton is following many others by sending these beauties down the runway. Mr Jacobs seems to have put most of his creative juices into this project rather than his own label. As I stated I wasn't that excited by his own label collection. I was happy with the amount of black ensembles... as a friend stated today 'you love black don't you?'

Paris Fashion Week... Take six...is this going on forever?

It was quite a muted affair at Chloe with many neutral colours being used through out the collection. They all seemed in keeping with the autumn theme. I loved the thigh high pirate boots, it seems like thigh high boots HAVE to be in our autumn wardrobes according to many of the designers this season.

You can always trust Galliano to put on a show. Many have criticised him for showing a collection without relevance for the 'current times.' However I think that this doesn't matter, people came to see a show and that's what he delivered. And oh my god he used black and blue. I love the coat shown above I think he used the colour perfectly. There was a major Russian feel running through the collection and he especially displayed this through the dresses he sent down the runway.

The leather used at Hermes was displayed in the form of trousers and dresses. The dress is carrying on the almost bondage like feel that we saw at McQueen. The coats at Hermes were amazing .... I've loved so many coats this season. Which is odd because I always feel I lack stylish coats in my wardrobe.

What I wore yesterday...

Met up with my best friend yesterday and decided to eventually take some pictures to put up on here. I love my new bag... I'm a little obcessed with studs at the moment.
In case you wanted to know I'm wearing: Topshop Boutique Jacket, New Look Vest Top, H&M Zip skirt, Jonathan Aston lace tights, Primark knee highs, and Peacocks Boots.

Paris Fashion Week... take five...

The YSL collection was chic as always... lots of monochrome looks. Which in my opinion I don't think you can really go much wrong with. I especially like the first coat in the image above. It kind of reminds of a a flashers coat... but in a good way.

Everything thing looked so doll like at Viktor & Rolf, mainly to do with the models faces being painted white. But also the fabrics used looked so delicate. The first coat in the images above is absolutely stunning. I really love the detail on the sleeves and at the bottom of the coat. It gives it at certain charm.
Everyone seems to be raving at the pleather boots Stella has used in this collection. And I have to say I agree with the comments. The boots look marvelous with the oversized blazers and the structured coats. The last dress in the image above harks back to an almost underwear as outerwear stage... it looks so sexy with the sheer tights.
McQueen never fails to put on an awesome show. I wouldn't say that this was one of his most groundbreaking shows but it was still a lift to the dark economic times we are living in. Some of the leather he used looked almost bondage like with metal rings adorning his dresses. A lot of the collection seemed to be an optical illusion with stripes clashing with houndstooth. For me though I think his collection can be worn all together by the brave.... or piece my piece by people who are admirers but just don't have the guts.

Karl's collection for Chanel saw sequins, leather and pastel colours. Now pastel colours usually strikes fear into the heart of many as not many people are able to pull them off. However I think pastel colours are displayed perfectly above in the form of some lovely pink tights. The last long black skirt in the images above is my dream skirt... I think I might attempt making one....

Paris Fashion Week... take four...

My new obcession is blue and black together. I think it just looks right. Costume National have perfected this look in their Paris collection. With sheer and shimmer mixed together they combined two excellent fabrics to produce a fabulous result.

Beautiful black coats were seen at Sonia Rykiel. The first one in the pictures above is amazing. I love the ruffle detailing it just adds something a little different to a black coat. The second image is perfection, it has the right amount of casual and chic. I'd love to throw this on to go to university in!

The master that is Mr Lagerfeld delivered quite a reserved show; which I didn't expect from him. However there were some lovely stand out pieces which made his clothes exciting. For example the dress third from the right has excellent details (the cape on the back) and would look great bare legged or with some satin trousers a la Lagerfeld.

Oh Givenchy! Hair, sheer fabrics, and leather! Their collection excited me and although they have become old hack for some people now I actually enjoyed looking through each image. The sheer blouse in the middle of the images above was perfection and I'd be more than happy to add a piece like that to my wardrobe.

Christian Lacroix's collection was abundant in amazing dresses and beautiful tights...(here I go again with my tight obcession). Everything in this collection just seemed to have so much thought put into it. It appeared to be a very luxurious collection and for Lacroix it seems the crunch is simply not an option.

Paris Fashion Week... take three...

Everyone always expects a show from Gaultier and he definitely delivered with this collection. The tights especially stood out for me, which is obviously not the main point of his collection. But hey I have an obcession with tights. The blues in his collection really lifted the mood and brought the outfits to life. I LOVE the jacket on the far right in the top lot of images. The perfect mix of tailored with disjointed aspects. If that makes sense? Anyway it does to me!

So the obvious feature of this collection for me was shoes shoes shoes. The boots were absolutely to die for. However I was also drawn to the clothes. Black black and a touch of white. Absolutely perfect I think Demeulemeester had an almost pirate feel to some of her looks.... more reason for me to absolutely adore this collection.

There is A LOT of hype behind Comme des Garcons and how I tend to agree with the hype I wasn't all that excited by what they had to offer in Paris. The materials used were beautiful and they had excellent flow and movement. I would love to wrap myself up in one of their amazing coats next autumn.

Pamela Anderson. Wow. Vivienne did it again using a new muse and a somewhat unconventional one. Again for me, as always, Vivienne has come out with some great stand alone pieces. The jackets for me were especially brilliant. And the draping as always, fabulous!
