New York Fashion Week Autumn 2010 …. favourites continued…
More black looks. This really looks like I have an obsession with black, which I guess I do but I do wear colour I promise! The clothes we see from Mary-Kate and Ashley may have been fairly simple but the cut of the clothes was impeccable. You can really see that they created something which they themselves would wear.
I really love how Jeremy Scott brought a playful side to the proceedings in New York. The jumper spelling out ‘style’ is just the right amount of tongue in cheek. I also loved the different silhouettes created through out the collection. The leather jacket with gold detailing is absolutely stunning and continues on the grunge look I’m pretty fond of now.
It seems like Vera Wang has toned down her collection this time; although she did manage to sneak in a lovely organza dress at the end which brought the drama to the show. The white shirt and black trousers look so comfy; it would be a joy to through these on on a cold day and wrap up in a (fake) fur coat!
I must say I absolutely loved this collection. The amount of different textures and the deep colours used really made it for me. The sheer dress may not be for everyone but it could be layered over something plain to make for an interesting autumn look. I love the deep blue trousers; and it can certainly be said that they would turn heads!
