Kate Middleton in Alexander McQueen

I know I know this is EVERYWHERE but hey I'm British it's all part of our culture. Many people were also extremely against the wedding; what with all the money spent on security etc especially when the country is going through such hard times. However I thought it was really nice for the people of the UK to show such solidarity (and get a day off) and I think even the royal couple were surprised at the turn out. At the end of the day they are just like every other couple and I wish them all the best.
So on to the more serious point of THE DRESS. Even the most anti-royalists have to agree that it will go down as one of the most iconic fashion moments in history. I am so pleased she chose Sarah Burton to design the dress; it was everything a bride dreams of. It is worth nothing that her sister Pippa's dress was also designed by Burton. The lace on Kate's dress was simply stunning and I love that she opted for long sleeves, it just looks so elegant. The floral theme was not stupidly obvious either. The shape was perfect, the train wasn't too long, I don't tend to like stupidly long trains a la gypsy wedding. I think Kate has now defiantly set herself firmly among other famous fashion conscious brides. I wonder if she will be sitting front row at McQueen next season?

  1. Hell yeah I'm gutter about the blink tour :( !
It supppose to by my summer vacation with 2 awesome friends, 3 tours in one week, and now the dates of our tickets are a moth away from each other, so we can't do the tour in 2012 eather. Seriously, I was sick of it for a few days. I've a horrible internship of 10 months this year, and Blink 182 would start my summer vacation.

  6. Yes I still come over, we decided to go to london together. And the other 2 dates I will go with just one friend. Because we have 2 dates in one week, and we have to go to school between the dates, one friend of mine would do that. So now I will fly 2 times in one week to england and back. Pff lots of money, but I think it is worth the show.

    xx

  8. Ah! I'm from San Francisco, and let me tell you that we were all excited about the wedding too. It looked like fun! I would totally be out on the streets with the crowd if I were there! By the way, did you see Princess Beatrice's ridiculous hat? I was definitely entertained her choice. Also, Pippa (kind of an unfortunate name) is gorgeous! I had no idea Kate has a sister...but that might be common knowledge among the British.
