Kate Middleton in Alexander McQueen

I know I know this is EVERYWHERE but hey I’m British it’s all part of our culture. Many people were also extremely against the wedding; what with all the money spent on security etc especially when the country is going through such hard times. However I thought it was really nice for the people of the UK to show such solidarity (and get a day off) and I think even the royal couple were surprised at the turn out. At the end of the day they are just like every other couple and I wish them all the best.
So on to the more serious point of THE DRESS. Even the most anti-royalists have to agree that it will go down as one of the most iconic fashion moments in history. I am so pleased she chose Sarah Burton to design the dress; it was everything a bride dreams of. It is worth nothing that her sister Pippa’s dress was also designed by Burton. The lace on Kate’s dress was simply stunning and I love that she opted for long sleeves, it just looks so elegant. The floral theme was not stupidly obvious either. The shape was perfect, the train wasn’t too long, I don’t tend to like stupidly long trains a la gypsy wedding. I think Kate has now defiantly set herself firmly among other famous fashion conscious brides. I wonder if she will be sitting front row at McQueen next season?
