Anna Sui went for a simple but effective look – the red lip and curled hair reminded me of old hollywood glamour. Many of the looks I’ve featured here are stripped back and encourage the barely there look. I say for your make-up concentrate on one feature – bold lips or statement eyes, but never both. As for hair, I saw two trends you can stick to – full bouncing curls or the slicked back look. I particularly loved Emilio Pucci’s smokey winged eye look, I will be trying this one out for myself.
As I said it is easy to find similar products on the high-street to be able to recreate that catwalk look. For an even skin tone without any of the heaviness use a skin tint – the one from Topshop is great value for money. One of my favourite lip products are the ones from ELF – the mineral lipsticks are really moisturising and have a great pigment to them. This red one would be perfect for this spring. The only glow you want this summer is a natural looking one – Benefit’s Cha Cha Tint is perfect for re-creating this. The good thing about this product is that you can also use it on your lips – a great product to have in your handbag. Lastly you will need an eyeliner that has staying power – this one from Urban Decay is perfect, and comes in a wide range of colours. This spring I’ll mostly be rocking blue or white eyeliner.
