Today I went down to Ted Baker in Leeds to take part in a really exciting project -Ted’s Drawing Room. The idea is you have your picture taken by a lovely staff member, this picture is then sent via Instagram to Ted’s Head Office where one of 11 fabulous illustrators are poised ready to draw you. On the side of Ted’s Drawing Room is a live stream of the illustrators in action – I watched some of this when I got home to see if I could see my illustrator hard at work. I absolutely love this idea – so when I was contacted I jumped at the chance to have my mug immortalised.
The staff at the store in Leeds were extremely accommodating and the manager helped me put together my outfit. I went for a colour pop outfit to get me in the mood for Spring – I especially loved the jeans, they were so comfy and a lovely colour.
Here is my final portrait drawn just for me – one of a kind. I’d like to thank Ted Baker for this amazing opportunity, its not everyday you get your portarit drawn by a famous illustartor. Jacqueline Bissett was chosen to draw my portrait – she was one of the more traditional fashion illustrators from the bunch. Her clients have included Elle, Glamour and Givenchy. Now my portrait will be framed and sent to me – such a wonderful idea. What do you think?
