Event: Agyness Deyn x Dr. Martens

Tonight I went along to the launch of the Agyness Deyn x Dr. Martens collection at the Dr. Martens shop in Leeds. I have being spying on this collection online for a while and couldn't wait to see it in the flesh. We were told that each store only got a limited amount of pieces and that after that they wouldn't get anymore - I like the feel of exclusivity that Dr. Martens were offering, it's always nice to have something not many other people will have. I had some firm favourites from the collection:

These red velvet creepers were amazing up close - myself and the brand manager were talking about how long lasting Dr. Martens are. These creepers look like they would last a lifetime. Another favourite piece of mine was this lovely lilac heart shaped satchel bag - with an array of satchel bags on the high street, it was nice to see something that looked a little bit different. After all this is a line that champions 'rebellious self-expression.'

We were asked to style up an outfit which will be going up on the Dr. Martens Facebook page - each person up there has a chance of winning a pair of shoes. I picked out this daisy print t-shirt, this green checked skirt and awesome stomping boots. I actually bought the skirt, it has such cute details like a daisy button at the top. I hope I win as Dr Martens will be gifting a pair of shoes to the winner - of course I'd pick the boots above. These are the very boots Miley Cyrus has been spotted wearing, not sure that gives me any street cred but I have to admit I love her new look. The campaign video really captures the heart of the collection - I suggest you give it a watch.
