I thought I would do a little post with some ideas on how to style the concealed high-top trainer. I have seen them all over the high street. I wish I could afford the Isabel Marant real deal - alas I have to make do with what the high street has to offer. I've got to mention these Impress nails which I received in the goodie bag from the blogger meet up. I didn't have time to paint my nails last night before I went out, so I stuck these on in about 10 minutes. Well I have to admit after a night out I thought I'd have a couple missing by the morning but to my surprise they are still intact and don't seem to be budging. I'd recommend them if you need a quick nail fix or if your a nail newbie. By the way how nice is this skull bracelet from Aurora Vintage?
I've been really loving these high-tops from River Island - I feel like my style is evolving a little bit, as these aren't something I would normally choose. I think they look great teamed with a skinny pant - the american apparel disco pants do the trick here. I can't believe how expensive the disco pants are now, I thought they were expensive when I bought them a year and half ago, but now its madness! I bought this dimmed hem top from River Island the other week. I love anything with a nod to skeletons and this top ticked those boxes. I think it would look equally good teamed with a skirt and killer heels for a night out. I'm wearing my Revlon Just Bitten in Crush - which I featured in my favourites earlier in the week.

I picked up this studded vest in a shop in Halifax called Coco Boo - they seem to stock lots of items from Glamorous. It was nice to find somewhere stocking trendy pieces outside of the city centre, I think I'll be taking a trip back very soon. I love the studded shoulders, I picked this because the studs seemed extremely sturdy. Since the embellished look has been really in, I have found more and more cheap looking studs on the high street which I believe would just blow off your top in a light breeze.
I styled this up with a pair of skinny leather trousers and of course the high-tops. I think this is a great look for during the day - something to run around in when I'm busy but showing off my style at the same time. I also teamed the outfit with this skeleton finger ring from Topshop - this piece is always a conversation starter.
I love both outfits! Your skeleton ring is just gorgeous :) I tried out the imPRESS nails too! They have great staying power :)

Ahh I want the Isabel Marant boots too. It is so saddening being a poor peasant and not being able to afford designer. Your high street substitutes are lovely though you've styled them up really well! Gah River Island! And I LOVE that Coco Boo top A LOT. And yes I agree, a perfect safe-but-stylish busy day outfit!
