Last night I went along to the Leeds Fashion Show which took place in Leeds Town Hall. The Leeds Fashion Show has now been running for 7 years and it seems to upscale every year. The venue was perfect for the evening and set a mood for the nights events. I have to hand it to them the event is huge and draws in the crowds – I took my seat on the front row right at the end of the catwalk. The press were given a bag – which contained some random things including a mini box of cereal? Food at a fashion show? Unheard of. All in all the event was a great way for local designer to showcase their collections. There were a couple that stood out for me were Domanska Bracken with an all white and black collection. There were a few designers I’d never seen which was nice – I like to know about new up and comers. I do like that they have such an eclectic mix of models, it makes for an interesting show. The lovely model in the lace black dress below actually won the model of the year award at the end of the evenings events.
I’ll leave you with a few pictures I thought stood out from the many I took – I love the ornate backdrop don’t you?
