This evening I took part in Kirkgate's 'Lock-in 4 Students.' I was asked to take part and be the resident fashion blogger for the evening - to talk to people about new trends and what they should be picking up on the high-street. I met some lovely people who asked me about current trends. Some had things they wanted to resurrect and were looking for advice of how to wear something older in the new season. The event was first and foremost there to help out the shops. Bradford is a city in dire need of some investment and students coming and spending in the shops is going some way to help out.
I picked items from a number of shops, including: River Island, Primark, Internacionale, New Look, Shoe Zone, Officers Club, Blue Inc, Claires and Deichmann. I loved the River Island cardigan I picked out so much I went and bought it the next day - you'll be seeing it on here in the near future.
I had a walk around the centre and took a few shots of people - I love that I can make someone's day just by asking to shoot their outfit. I love the cropped mint green jumper on the lady below - I need to get me one of those. Burgundy seems to be the colour of the moment which I spotted on quite a few people. I loved the lady with the jumper and shirt combination on - this is a look I think I'll be sporting a lot this Autumn/Winter. The last two ladies were rocking the greens - I love dark jewel toned greens. I love the mustache print scarf on the lady on the right - adds a bit of fun to any outfit.
