Couture Fashion: Spring 2013

It's that time of year again where we get to 'oooh' and 'ahhh' at the beautiful couture collections. I know most of the population can only dream of wearing something like this but I have an appreciation for beautifully made clothes so I thought they were worth a little mention.
Elie Saab had to be one of my favourite collections - so many beautiful dresses. I'm sure that with the Oscars coming up we will see many a leading lady in one of these beauties. The Atelier Versace collection as a whole wasn't really up my street - it kind of leaned towards trashy for me. However I did love this look, it kind of reminds me of a futuristic Cleopatra. Chanel always has some beautiful looks, I'm never taken by the whole collection but I thought this dress was so unusual but really simple. Another one destined for the red carpet. The Valentino collection was stunning - I loved this dress, the high neck and cut of the sleeves just looks so flattering and it is such a beautiful gown. This could easily be some lucky brides wedding dress.
