Blade Runner is one of those films that always features on people's top film lists. If you haven't seen it I really do suggest you see if as soon as you can. I had to watch it as apart of my A-level Media studies into the Sci-Fi genre. The fashion from this film has inspired many a designer. The dystopian punk vibe is something that continuously pops up in other people's collections.I have focused on the character Pris played by the fabulous Daryl Hannah. Her glam rock/punk themed costumes are so inspiring - I'm feeling this would be an awesome theme for a fancy dress party. However I thought I would look at how you could re-create this look with pieces from the high street. I really liked this mesh top from Topshop, I thought it emulated Pris' look. I just teamed it with this plain tube skirt from New Look. I thought the American Apparel bag was a great match dupe for the Pris version. The trusty Henry Holland tights would finish the look, I always seem to get holes in mine though which is annoying after paying out quite a bit of money. What film would you like to see here next month?
