I have never really dipped my toe into the water when it comes to mens fashion. I mean I know what I like to see men wearing and what I think suits particular styles - but I have never felt comfortable enough to comment it on like I would women's fashion. After seeing some awesome looks flying around Twitter, I decided to finally do my first men's fashion post.
After looking at the collections so far it seems that the 'gentleman/dandy' look is defiantly still all the rage. Although this doesn't suit everyones tastes - I think there are aspects of these looks that all men can take inspiration from. It seems the colours of AW13 will be shades of red, blue and green. Rich jewel tones and a mixture of black for good measure.

Red is the stand out colour of the season for me - just look at the above images. If the 'dandy' look isn't for you Diesel Black Gold had a harder edge - this is the collection for the alternative men out there. You just had to look at the models to see the vibe they were going for. I loved the leather jacket with satin detailing - it is just something a little unexpected and different from your average leather jacket.
I loved the looks at Gucci - this look in particular just stood out to me. The grey and red combination is a winner, I love the fur lined jacket and polo-neck. There are a lot of classic pieces in this collection that any guy would love to add to their wardrobe.
Burberry Prorsum were pushing leopard print as THE print for the guys next season. I actually really like the subtle use of the print in this look. It adds an extra something, to what is a really classic look. The shirt and red jumper combination is striking but simple.
Which leads me on rather nicely to Dsquared - another shirt and red jumper union. I have to say Dsqaured had one of the most fun collections of all those I looked at. I really liked the cut of this coat - it looks so smart but the way it is styled here keeps it looking current. I think you all need to run out and buy some red, stat - oh and maybe if you are feeling adventurous a leopard print shoe?
