London Fashion Week AW13: YIFANG WANThursday, 21 February 2013
Day Two - I saw the Yifang Wan show over at Fashion Scout. She is the winner of the Fashion Scout 'merit award' which provides £25,000 over the course of three seasons and a catwalk and exhibition space during London and Paris fashion weeks.
The collection, which was titled 'limits of the body and possibilities of the mind' was made up of black, jewel-toned emerald, indigo and dark violet. Dresses, coats, tailored trousers and tunics made from fine cashmere made up this elegant collection. I loved the structure of the overcoats and especially loved the silver metal pieces that were scattered through-out the collection. The top picture really displays the silhouette. I love the cut out pieces in the collection which seemed to follow a theme with the items they were carrying.
I also really liked the hair (Toni & Guy) and the make-up (The Body Shop), it was simple enough to let the clothes do the talking. I also loved the silver metallic nails which were provided by Pebbles Aikens. I'm a total magpie and drawn to anything that gleams.
