In The Spotlight: Titanic SpaMonday, 22 April 2013
I'm always up for a good pamper session and due to some things in my personal life I really needed a day to relax. I was delighted when I was asked to visit the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield - I immediately knew I had to take my mum for a pamper day. The Spa has a number of different packages available depending on what your're after. You are handed a dressing gown and slippers upon arrival and you also have a little guided tour. You pretty much then spend the rest of your day in a dressing gown - which feels so naughty but so good. It is kind of strange to see everyone wandering around the spa in their dressing gown but after the initial shock I kind of loved it.
The Spa prides itself on being economically friendly, they even have their own water source. The changing facilities are great with everything you could possibly need. Once we had changed we both went on to have a full body massage. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture in the treatment room but they were extremely relaxing, complete with calming music. I had a lovely lady called Natalie providing my massage - before your treatment you are asked if you wish to concentrate on anything in particular. The massage lasts 55 minutes and costs £70, it feels so luxurious and it would make a great present for someone.
While staying you are also treated to a lovely buffet lunch - me and my mum treated ourselves to a glass of cava which felt very indulgent while we sat sipping it in our dressing gowns. The lunch was great and I finished it all off with this lovely white chocolate and raspberry cupcake - yummy!
We were also able to visit the Heat and Ice Experience - these are a number of different treatment rooms which are meant to leave you feeling relaxed and de-stressed. Rooms you can visit include aromatherapy room, crystal steam bath, foots baths and the rather invigorating ice room. The lighting is extremely dim in these rooms so I couldn't take any pictures.
I also went and had a sneaky look at one of the apartments you can stay in - as you can see the apartments are spacious and light. The perfect place to relax after a day of treatments. The bathroom also comes complete with some lovely Elemis products too. Overall I found the experience really relaxing and I can see why spas are so popular - what I really liked about this one is how much they focus on Eco spa treatments. If you fancy treating yourself visit the website and have a look what's on offer.
