Magazine Monthlies: August Editions
I was watching something the other day on TV about free gifts available in magazines and how you can grab yourself a bargain for the price of a magazine. It got me thinking that I’d like to start a new series on the blog. I will be summing up the monthly free gifts available in magazines and also testing one out for you right here.
It doesn’t matter if it isn’t a magazine you would usually buy, the product often makes up for this. The magazine will always find a good home too whether you give it to a relative or leave it in the canteen at work.
– this month there is a choice of 4 different products from the Balance Me range. You can choose from body wash, face wash, face cream or a tinted salve. The face cream is the biggest steal – the RRP of the full sized is £13.
I decided to pick this up this month as Glamour is only £2. The moisture-rich face cream claims to plump, smooth and rejuvenate the skin. I’m not sure if you could get different skin types – but the one I got was for Normal to dry/Sensitive skin. I have to say after only just opening it now I will be giving you an off the cuff review. It smells really fresh – I hate over powering scents in moisturiser. After rubbing it into the skin I can tell there is an almost immediate change in the firmness – this is really impressive! And all for the price of a magazine.
In Style – you can bag yourself a free rituals mascara. On closer inspection this seemed to be a full price product – all the mascaras are priced at £13 so this is a mega bargain for the price of a magazine.
Marie Claire – this month there is an Eyeko eyeliner. I think this one is worth £10 and also looks like a full size product. With recommendations from the likes of pixiwoo this is worth picking up.
– you can pick up a lovely little set of three REN holiday skincare products. It’s a great way to try some great products for the grand total of £4.
Cosmopolitan – There are three products from Nip + Fab – one for legs, one for boobs and a tanning gel. I’ve never tried anything from them but I’ve heard lots of good things.
