What I Wore: George @ Asda Tartan Skirt

tartan outfit of the night

I really love all the tartan thats popping up on the high-street lately. With the grunge revival bigger than ever, tartan is at the centre of it all.
I picked up this lovely kilt style skirt from George @ Asda. I think I've talked about how good George can be for the odd bargain before. I picked up this skirt and a dress in the same tartan. At £12 you can't really go wrong. (click on the number above to see the item) I felt a little bit like Cher from Clueless in this get-up, well maybe a much grungier version.

I teamed up my skirt with this mesh top from Primark which was only £4 - I just wore a bandeau top underneath which I also picked up in Primark. My little skull embossed bag is also from Primark. My wedge creepers were from New Look - I think they were around £20. I really like these because they are really comfy but also give you some height at the same time.
This outfit was unintentionally quite an inexpensive one, it just goes to show you can do any trend on a small budget.

  3. Can't believe that this was an Asda find and a mere £12! It looks so much more expensive and like something that'd you pick up from Topshop!
