On Thursday I attended the La Redoute SS14 Press Day in Paris – most of you know that I work for the UK branch. I go over to report back on the press day and to get some video footage of the up coming trends.
I thought I’d share a couple of snaps with you of the designers we are working with next season. Gat Rimon has worked with us before and I was excited to see he was designing a collection for us again. He tends to create simple pieces that have a bit of an edge to them. This season he has designed masculine pieces like this varsity style jacket but has offset it with more feminine items like this full sequin skirt. I think I’ll be treating myself to a couple of pieces for the Spring/Summer months.
The main designer for the season is Cédric Charlier – Charlier worked at the House of Celine for two years under the direction of Micheal Kors. He also spent 6 years at Lanvin. It’s always a surprise when I tell people how many amazing designers we’ve worked with. Isabel Marant pour H&M? We’ve already done it. Excitingly Stella Tennant is modeling the collection this year and she is on the front of our new catalogue. Simple colour blocking in beautiful silks and courts with rose gold detailing make this collection pretty special. A favourite of mine is the silk colour block dress in white – it will great with bare legs and a pair of heels in the summer.
