Review: Zao Organic Make-upWednesday, 27 November 2013
I like to learn about brands I haven't heard of before, so when I was contacted by Zao Make-up about some of their products I jumped at the chance. It is a blend of philosophies Zen Buddhism and Taoism, hence the Zao brand name.
I'm a real sucker for packaging and Zao delivers on this. Each items comes in a lovely organic pouch and inside you'll find that the packing itself is made of bamboo. The bamboo theme continues as one of the ingredienta in the products too. Bamboo is known for its high level of silica, which helps promote elasticity in the skin. Another great thing about these products is that they are refillable - you could simply buy another pan of your favourite blusher, fit it in and away you go!
I went for the Matt Lipstick in Red Orange, I seem to be gravitating towards these types of colours lately. This colour kind of comes out more of my own lip colour but a better version. Such a cliche but that's how it looks. It's a great everyday lipstick.
The Blush in Brown Orange is the perfect colour for me - I seem to use bronzer more than I used to now I've got the hang of contouring. This blush is pretty matt so I've been using it to contour my face - I've built it up a little more on my hand, so you can apply as much or as little as you want depending on the look your going for.
