I was lucky enough to pop down the the Clothes Show Live last week – for those of you who haven’t been before. The event has an array of clothing and beauty stands with many bargains to be had. Top tip is to go on the last day so you can get what you want at a reduced price.
I picked up some beauty bits from Models Own and Ciate – both of which were doing goodie bags for £10. The Ciate bag had two sets and 5 polishes inside – amazing value. The beauty stands have to be my favourite part of the event. I would say that the show misses the presence of big high street fashion brands. I guess they don’t need to be there because they have shops already – there were more online retailers there. I was working on Monday and Tuesday – did you stop by the La Redoute stand?
There were also pop-up stages such as the style studio with some great masterclasses on make-up and hair. They also had talks with industry professionals such as the fabulous Carolyn Franklin. I was lucky enough to have a reserved seat for their fashion show too. I was sat behind some Made In Chelsea stars, I had to ask the girl next to me who they were though as I don’t watch it. With it being the Clothes Show Live’s 25th Anniversary they put on a great show complete with a performance from Union J. There were some fabulous outfits – I even spotted my Warehouse lace playsuit.
