I was kindly invited down to Fabb Events partner event with Halo Hair. The brand are famous for their ‘halo’ hair extensions which simply sit around your head on a wire, creating that halo effect.
I’ve never tried extensions before due to the fact I have such thin hair. I might have a lot of it but it just didn’t work out when it came to extensions. I could just imagine my hair blowing in the wind and exposing some unsightly clips. The great thing about halo hair is that you don’t have to worry about this. It feels a little weird at first but you soon get used to it!
We were treated to a talk about the brand and then we were left to have a chat amongst ourselves. While this was all going on they had two experts on hand to fit the extensions and style your hair around them. I waited until the very end to get mine done, due to the fact I was busy chatting away to the lovely Ray. You can see Tor getting hers styled in the above picture. I met so many lovely bloggers too, that’s why I love going to events like this.
They decided to use Dark brown 2 in 20″ on my hair and because it is so long they used 2 Halos. As you can see from the picture above, I was left with amazingly full and thick hair. It really was a transformation. I wore them again for my Christmas party and had so many compliments on my fabulous hair.
The extensions themselves are really easy to put in. Simply slip the halo on your head and pull the wire to your head size – tie it off and cut the wire. Then you can use a comb to pull out your own hair over the top. You can style your hair to how you like it, the 100% Indian Remy human hair means you can apply heat without fear of damaging them. I curled mine which meant they blended in rather nicely. I really do recommend them for anyone that is a extensions newbie like me – give them a try you won’t regret it.
