Day four and the sun was still shining on fashion week. I had a rather exciting day, as I was heading backstage with Toni & Guy at Giles. As it happened it was way too busy for all the journalists and bloggers to go backstage. They brought the model out to us and talked through the look. I’ll be posting about that very soon!
Monday for me was my ‘rock n roll’ look, I mixed quite a lot of different patterns and textures with this outfit. I wore my ACDC t-shirt, this has to be one of the comfiest things I own but I love it. They are one of my favourite bands after all. After seeing Zoe rocking a band t-shirt on the same day I knew I was in great company.
I teamed this up with some grey shorts with lace detailing from La Redoute. They have a little touch of lingerie about them because of the lace. They are still quite tailored though so you can dress them down like I have here or maybe dress them up with a blouse and heels. Another La Redoute purchase is my fabulous ombre gilet. I can tell this is going to be a staple in my Autumn wardrobe. It looks great layered with clashing items, like I’ve done here. Or you could layer it over a simple black dress, it’s quite a statement piece after all. I also have my leopard print ponyskin bag from La Redoute – no rock n roll outfit is complete without a little leopard print, right?
Lastly my TK Maxx brogues, which served me well over fashion week. They’ve convinced me to buy more smart flats for the Autumn. A great way to look stylish and still stay comfortable.
