London Fashion Week: What I Wore Day TwoThursday, 18 September 2014
Day two was busier than Friday - the weekend always brings out the fashion pack in full force. It also helped that the weather was on our side. We were able to bask in the sun between shows which always helps pass the time. I had a few shows at Fashion Scout on Saturday which meant I spent a lot of time around Covent Garden. The Freemason's Hall were the Fashion Scout shows are is a truly beautiful building and a great place for shows.
I opted for my Delphine Manivet dress - it is such a beautiful shape and really cinches you in at the waist. Delphine is traditionally a wedding dress designer but she created a great ready to wear collection for La Redoute. It's a really thick material and has layers of tulle underneath the skirt. It's a perfect occasion dress so I thought it would be great for fashion week. If you can't wear a big obnoxious dress to fashion week, when can you wear it?
I teamed up my dress with this satin bomber jacket from TK Maxx - I've actually had this for like 8 years but as they are all the rage again I thought I'd get it out again. I love the embroidery on the back. My patent boots are from Matalan, they are actually super comfy but I must admit after wearing them all day my feet were on fire! My pearl necklace (of Chanel fame) is from Dorothy Perkins, I think it's a fairly good copy for a fraction of the price.
