New Years Eve is almost upon us and my thoughts turn to the perfect make-up look for the evening. I often browse Pinterest for inspiration for new make-up looks. I came across this picture of Lily Collins and thought this was the perfect look for New Years. A little bit of sparkle and a striking lip.
I used one of my new christmas presents to achieve my look – the Charlotte Tilbury palette in ‘The Vintage Vamp.’ It’s such a pretty quad and really versatile, you can create a day or night look with this easily. I started out with my regular foundation and concealed all those little blighters I don’t want on show. After this I filled in my eyebrows with my Sleek brow palette, Lily has some pretty mega eyebrows but I just stuck to my own shape. I used MAC’s translucent powder with my big Real Techniques powder brush and ran this all over the face to create a matte look. I then used my Charlotte Tilbury palette to create a glittery smokey eye, I used numbers 1, 2 and 4 to achieve this. I put a little gold glitter under my lower lash line just like in Lily’s look. I then curled my lashes and applied Le Volume De Chanel to my upper and lower lashes. I used the Caribbean Sun Bronzer duo from Jelly Pong Pong to contour my face slightly and I added a flush of pink to my cheeks. Lastly I applied MAC’s New York Apple to the lips which is a frost finish, meaning you can build up the colour as much as you like. You can see my look below, although because of my glasses you don’t get the full effect, you get the idea though! Have an awesome new year!
