Event: Trinity Leeds Primark Tour
The other Saturday I was invited down to the Trinity Leeds Primark to have a little snoop around. I was joined by Lucinda from The Fashion Fictionary
, Hayley from Tea Party Beauty
and Stephi from Stephi Lareine
, who are all absolutely lovely ladies. We were treated to a tour by the Visual Merchandiser who talked us around the different departments, including the home and denim departments. It’s interesting to hear the thought processes behind each trend and area. Did you know the denim section is actually called ‘The Denim Kitchen’? It’s mind blowing how much work goes into making the store look good, I make sure I look at the displays a little more closely now. I much prefer this new store layout to other old Primark stores I’ve been to.
We had to pick our favourite department and I think I speak for all of us when I say it had to be the shoe department. There are just so many different styles to choose from and none of them are going to break the bank. It means you can try a variety of different trends without feeling too guilty.
We were tasked with picking our favourite pieces in the store and styling them up for our own special photoshoot. It’s kind of odd posing in the middle of Primark on a busy Saturday afternoon but we soon got into the swing of things. We were posing in the changing rooms, in the middle of the store and even flicking our hair about outside the entrance. I pretty sure the bottom gif sums up our day together, it was so much fun! We had some real fun in the home department too, jumping on beds and throwing cushions in the air.
I’ve never been one to go crazy in Primark, I like to pick things out with consideration and think about what I’ll wear it with. I posted my favourite look which you can see below (look out for the stripes) over on my Instagram
and it seemed to go down well. You can see the culotte jumpsuit I bought in this post.
