Lust List: Capsule Holiday Wardrobe

I’m currently sat writing this staring out of my living room window at the torrential rain, you wouldn’t think it was May. Luckily I have a holiday in July to look forward to and you know what that means, new clothes!
I feel like I don’t have loads of warm weather clothes because we don’t ever have the weather to match. So I’ve been on the look out for some items to add to my wardrobe and found that I’ve been spoilt for choice.

First up I picked out this black New Look bikini, I mainly picked it out because it has underwire support. Gone are the days of triangle bikinis, they just don’t do the job. I thought this was a little different to a boring black bikini though, the extra strap details give it a different look. You might have odd tan lines but no one’s going to see them anyway, right?
No holiday is complete without a pair of sunglasses, I usually take a couple of pairs with me to swap and change between. I thought these ombre style sunnies from Boohoo were the perfect pair for throwing in my beach bag. The slight cat eye style is right up my street too.
Next you need a great pair of sandals that will go with a number of outfits, if you are wanting to travel light you can’t pack too many shoes. These snakeskin sandals from ASOS are great to team with your bikini and shorts but could equally be paired up with a floaty dress.
A trusty pair of denim shorts always find their way into my suitcase. Lately I’ve been lusting after a high waisted pair and these Topshop ripped shorts are going to be at the top of my shopping list. Shorts like these lend themselves to different outfits and will hide that holiday belly….
Finally if you want to take your look from beach to bar all you have to do is slip on a nice dress. I really liked this Topshop number, the material will keep you cool and it has enough detail to make it a little bit special for the evening.
