Last week I headed over to Paris to work at the La Redoute Autumn Winter 2015 press day. This has to be my favourite part of my job, who doesn’t love travelling? I actually go there to film the day with a crew and then we are left with some great trend videos to share with our customers. I thought I’d share a little bit of the day with you all, courtesy of my iphone.
You may recognise our lovely presenter as Audrey from Be Frassy. I’ve followed her blog for what seems like forever and was really excited to meet her in person for the first time. Not only was she extremely lovely but she also has a killer sense of humour. Shout out to Audrey for having the energy to stand in front of the camera all day.
I’ve already made a list of what I’m going to spend my staff discount on, the autumn/winter season usually has a fair amount of lovely footwear. This season was no different, from creeper like boots to a classic ankle boot, there really was something for everyone. I was very excited to look at our new 70’s inspired range which are actually pieces from our archives which have been given a new lease of life. We also interviewed the three guest designers for the season, it’s always really exciting to hear what the inspirations behind their collections were.
Later on in the evening we attended a blogger event held by La Redoute France. We were joined by Lydia and Julia, who were both really lovely girls. The three of them joined forces for the UK and posed for a photo shoot and were asked all about their take on french style. All in all it was a great day and I can’t wait for the new products to hit the site in July!
