Beauty: M&S Holiday Beauty EssentialsWednesday, 22 July 2015
As well as sending me a lovely jumpsuit to take on holiday Marks & Spencer sent me some beauty bits to use to get ready for my holiday. Have you ever been to their beauty hall? It's amazing I cannot go in there without picking something up.
The products I was sent split out into before and during holiday. In my before kit was Fake Bake Amplify, a gradual daily tan. I haven't been on a beach holiday in a couple of years so to say I was milky was an understatement. This is really easy to apply with a tanning mitt, apply in circular motions to avoid the dreaded tide marks.
Next up a tanning product for your face by James Read. The Sleep Mask Tan adds a subtle glow to your face while you sleep. I like using a product like this before a holiday so I don't have to wear any foundation on an evening. It's great for use when you get home too, less foundation more golden skin.
It's a rule you need perfectly painted hands and feet before you jet away. These three mini Leighton Denny nail polishes are the ideal size for popping in your suitcase. The three colours I was sent were: I Love Juicy, Butterfly Wings and Plush Pink. I thought these were great basic colours to have in your toiletry bag, they have a great colour pay-off. Lovely with a tan!
Lastly REN's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask was on hand to prep my face for the sun. Just apply all over the face and leave it for 10 minutes, wipe off with a damp cloth and then wash off the rest with warm water. It's great for targeting congestion in the skin which can build up over time, this leaves my skin glowing.
During the holiday I had a couple of products to help me out. Ultrasun's SPF for the Face is great for sensitive skin, it has anti-ageing elements too which makes it great for avoiding those wrinkles with extended sun damage.
I have had some blonde sections added to my hair recently and I was a little worried what colour the sun, sea and chlorine might turn my hair. Phillip Kingsley's Swimcap is perfect for protecting your hair from all of the above. All you need to do is comb through damp hair and you can let it get to work. I actually came back and found my blonde sections had gotten brighter!
Lastly the all important aftersun, something I can't go without on holiday. This contains vitamin E and aloe vera to soothe and put moisture back into your skin. Applying this during and after my trip has prolonged my tan. Did I mention it smells really good too?
