What I Wore: M&S Jumpsuit
There are pieces you always have to have in your case before you travel abroad. Marks & Spencer tasked me with finding the ‘ultimate holiday essential’ from their collections. After much debating with myself I settled on this amazing print jumpsuit
. I thought this was the perfect evening outfit for my holidays because there was no need for an iron, who wants to do chores while their on holiday? All I had to do was carefully roll this up and pop it in my case. When I got it out of my suitcase at the other end it didn’t look like it had travelled nearly 2000 miles.
I thought that this jumpsuit was also a perfect nod to the 70s trend with the print and tie detailing, something which I don’t see leaving my wardrobe for a long time. It is pretty long too so I had to team it up with some platform sandals. My first day red tan looks particularly harsh here, I’m pleased to report I’m now sat at home sporting a golden tan instead. The material is thin too which means it keeps you cool on those humid evenings away. I was staying in Lanzarote and the wind could really get up on an evening meaning a floaty dress was out of the question, this was the perfect alternative.
I tend to make a beeline for jumpsuits like this one because of their slimming properties, this help to hide a multitude of sins. I’m talking buffet dinners and three course dinners. I’ll be wearing this back in the UK but with a pair of heels. Is it just me who can’t do heels on holiday, all those uneven surfaces do nothing for me! What would be your ultimate holiday essential? Is there something you can’t travel without?
