I’d seen the Teva sandal on other blogs and also covered in the media as the ‘it sandal’ of the season. Now I’m sure you can see that this isn’t the prettiest of shoes but I’m all about having lots of ‘man repelling’ pieces in my wardrobe. I dress for myself, not you honey! The platform on these gives me plenty of height and they make me feel a little bit like a Spice Girl. I never got the platforms in the 90s as I was too young for them, so I’m making up for that with shoes like these! I had to opt for a black pair because they go with anything, right? These are actually surprisingly comfy and easy to walk in.
I’m rather partial to teaming these up with a cropped jean, I seem to be wearing this style all the time at the moment. I seem to of cast out most of my skinny jeans in favour of this fit. I picked these up in Zara last week, I like that these are a little bit rough around the edges. It reminds me of Marques Almeida, which of course is never a bad thing. I finished off my look with a simple cropped t-shirt from Primark and a sleeveless jacket from New Look. I think the key to pulling off these sandals is keeping the rest of the look minimal. I thought I’d have to win people round to the ‘normcore’ shoe trend but lots of people really seem to like them. I think its the pull of the comfort factor?
Sorry for looking very awkward in these photos I had to find a quick few minutes to do them before an event and there were lots of people around, I can’t remember when I last did an outfit post? I feel that in London you can get away with doing your outfit shots more without people really bothering you, in Leeds though it seems to attract a fair bit of attenion. Maybe I’ll get over my fear of posing soon, I’ve been doing it on here long enough!
