What I Wore: #GeorgeChristmas

Christmas always feels like a long time coming for me. Working in fashion means that we are thinking about Christmas from July onwards. That certainly doesn’t mean I get sick of it though. I love buying presents for people and seeing the excitement on their face as they open it. I usually have a few events with friends and family through out December too, which gives me the perfect excuse to dress up. This year I have been asked by George to share my Christmas Day outfit and although mine might look a little summery, I do have some theory behind it.
Of course because you’ll be taking on a mammoth dinner you’ll need to wear something that is really forgiving. I usually have family over on Christmas Day so I was looking for something that I could feel comfortable in that wasn’t a pair of PJs. Continuing on my love for all things 70s I picked out these printed flares. Maybe you can’t tell here but they are actually a real stretch material and would mean you could keep looking stylish after you’ve made the decision to go for seconds.
I picked out an off the shoulder top which is really loose fitting and hides a multitude of sins. Especially after all the tapas I’d been eating on my trip. Perfect for after your Christmas dinner. If I needed to head out to visit family I’d team this with a pair of ankle boots and a nice wool coat. I will be sharing another look in collaboration with George on the blog soon which will include the ultimate Christmas day dress.
These pictures were taken on the streets of Barcelona (which is why I’m sans coat) on my recent trip which is why I’m not wearing a coat! Thanks to Audrey for taking these pictures.
