What I Wore: #GeorgeChristmasMonday, 14 December 2015
You may remember this post in which I teamed up with George and wore a pretty non-traditional Christmas outfit. This was because a) I was in Barcelona at the time and it was hot and b) I just really liked the outfit. Since then George tasked me with finding the perfect Christmas day dress and I think I found it.
This black dress with lace-up detail it the perfect dress to through on on Christmas day, for a number of reasons. For one it kind hide a number of sins, after your third helping of turkey you're going to want to be able to relax. This dress hides it all well keeping you looking chic. Another thing I realised while taking these photos, is the fact that this dress appears to be water proof. Of course the Great British weather was not on my side when I stepped out to take these snaps. Much to my amusement the rain water brushed right off. This could be a major plus point for you messy eaters out there. Can the same be said for some stray gravy? I'm not sure but there is a good chance that will brush right off too - score!
I really liked how simple this dress was, it's one of those great dresses that you can dress up or down. This was me dressing it down with some over the knee boots. If you wanted to take it through to the evening maybe you could add a pair of heels and some gold jewellery to pick out the gold on the eyelet detail. This piece is so versatile it could be worn over new year too!
What will you be wearing on Christmas day? Are you a PJs kind of person or do you like to get dressed up?
