Last weekend, between being ill and more being ill. I popped along to the Hilton in Leeds for a few hours to take part in Posh Flooring #MurderOnThePoshFloor. Having never taken part in a murder mystery before I was super excited to see what was in store for us.
We were split between three different tables and the game began. As we were just sitting down and chatting a ‘Lord’ burst through the door and promptly died on the dance floor. A eye opening start to the proceedings. Between eating a lovely three course dinner we were given clues and the opportunity to ask questions. We then had to compile all of our evidence and submit a theory as to who we thought committed the murder. The actors from The Murder Mystery Company kept us fully entertained, through out the event. I seemed to find myself on the ‘naughty’ table but that could be due to the wine consumed by some members of my group. Hick! We had such a great time and I haven’t laughed that much in ages.
After much back and forth we finally came to a decision and submitted our verdict. We actually managed to get to the bottom of the murder and selected the correct person! We also found out that table three had selected the same person and they were declared the winners because their way to the answer was founded with a lot more evidence. Obviously we didn’t agree with the winners – we were robbed! Not leaving empty handed though as our table managed to win both of the twitter competitions, this certainly made up for the loss.
