What I Wore: La Redoute Printed Suit
Last week I was down in London for the La Redoute Press Day, doing events like this are so much fun but there is a lot of work in the lead up. My hotel was close to Somerset House so I headed down there to take some pictures.
Being that this places holds most of my fashion memories (bring it back please British Fashion Council!) I thought it made sense that it was once again the backdrop for one of my outfit posts.
Of course I had to wear new season La Redoute for the event and I picked out this printed suit. As soon as I saw it over in Paris
, I knew I had to have it. The jacket
is a mere £39 with the trousers
coming in at £29. I know that this full ensemble is a little out there for some people but the great thing about this is that it works really well as separates too! I wore this suit with a simple black vest and white trainers, to dress it up for the evening you could add a buttoned-up white shirt and heels. It’s a really comfy suit and fits true to size I’d say. I layered a huge coat over this to keep me warm but for the warmer months this would be the ideal office look.
I don’t think you can tell from the pictures but I was absolutely freezing here, all in the name of blogging huh? There were quite a few people walking past me on the way to work and I got a few strange looks. So that I could feel my extremities once again, after I’d finished my little photoshoot, I popped into Fernandez & Wells for a croissant and a warm drink. I love this cafe, it seems to have a little more soul than some of the other chains.
