What I Wore: Little Black DressWednesday, 27 January 2016
Before Christmas I was kindly sent this beautiful sequin number over from the guys at Little Black Dress. The last time I wore it was to my works Christmas party and I didn't manage to take any pictures, I blame the free flowing alcohol and casino tables.
The other weekend when I attended the murder mystery event I thought I'd pop it on as we were told to dress to impress. All of the Little Black Dresses come with names that they are to be associated with. This dress is actually called the Catherine and so it has some rather royal connections. That's where the comparisons between myself and the Duchess of Cambridge stop I'm afraid, I swear far too much to be a lady...
I must say I feel a million dollars when I slip into this dress. The compliments I've had while wearing it have been lovely too. It's one of those dresses that doesn't show off any flesh but still manages to be sexy due to its figure hugging nature. The sizing is spot on too, you can never be too sure when ordering online. But I went for a size 10 thinking I might have to swap it for the next size up. But to my surprise it fit like a glove. The sequins are super eye-catching, I was worried it might be quite scratchy on bare arms but it's really comfortable. It also has a lovely split up the back which is covered by mesh, always alluding to bare skin but never really showing any.
I've got my eye on a few more, so I might treat myself for my up coming holiday. If you are looking for a special occasion dress I would really recommend Little Black Dress for something a little different to make you feel good.
