London Fashion Week: What I Wore Day One

It’s that time of year again,,, fashion week! I’ve got lots of great content to share, so I thought I’d kick off with my outfit from day one. It was particularly cold, so I was feeling quite smug I’d worn this faux fur jacket.

The key to Friday’s look was lots of layers and comfy shoes. Although these River Island boots look like they could cause me some issues, they are surprisingly comfortable. It’s safe to say that they have become one of my go to pairs of boots. They shouldn’t go with everything but somehow they do. Maybe I’m stretching the boundaries with this, but rules are made to be broken right?
The culotte style jumpsuit was an awesome bargain I bagged in Primark. Wearing Primark to fashion week, I know how faux pas of me… another rule broken! It’s great layered over the top of a polo neck, I went for a thicker knit here as it was so cold. This polo-neck came courtesy of Matalan, it’s really soft and  kept me toasty warm all day. It’s always a funny moment when you get street style snapped and your outfit contains Primark or another lower priced store. Top to toe designer isn’t something I can afford to wear and I don’t think if I had the money I would wear it all the time either. I think a mixture of high end, high street and vintage is the way to go.
Lastly, the pièces de résistance was my faux fur green coat. This is from La Redoute and was one of my many sample sale bargains. The fur on this is incredibly soft, so much so that many of my blogging friends kept stroking it through out the day in awe. The details on the inside and at the sleeves really make the coat too, everything is finished with a faux leather piping which really adds to the overall look.
My first day was spent at shows and presentations, in the evening me and the girls headed to the Boden party. Lets just say it was a merry one!

Love the culottes with the high boots. You'd never know it was Primark!
