A Manchester Night OutMonday, 25 April 2016
I've just returned from a little trip to see one of my favourite people - Lizzy from Shot from the Street. A trip to Manchester only takes about 45 minutes on the train and we had scheduled in this time way in advance, seen as we are both busy ladies. We went headed straight out for lunch and of course had a little nosey around Selfridges.
We headed out to the Northern Quarter for dinner and a few cocktails. Whenever we are together we talk non-stop. It's great meeting up with fellow blog friends because they totally get your need to take pictures of everything and some of the stresses that come with running a blog. Going out was the perfect excuse to snap a quick outfit picture, as I had a couple of new pieces on.
I've been quite into the whole 'underwear as outerwear' so when I spotted this green camisole in Next I knew I had to get it. I really like the colour and the lace detail. It looks great with skinny trousers. Maybe in colder weather it could be worn over a polo-neck dress. The straps work just like bra-straps which is great as you have control about how low you want it to be.
I picked up these Topshop trousers last week - weirdly I don't have a pair in my wardrobe. I think its something in my head that associates them with my school days. I really liked the length of these as they look great with heels but they can be worn during the day with a pair of trainers too. They fit really well and are not too long slung so they are very forgiving. I finished off my outfit with my trusty leather jacket from H&M, my snakeskin heels from La Redoute and my little bag which is my pride and joy, from Alexander Wang.
What do you think to the underwear as outerwear trend?
