Blush Pink and Grey Interiors

pink and grey bedroom inspiration

Lately I've really been into blush pink and grey as a colour palette for my bedroom. We already have a grey statement wall but I felt like something was missing. Pink and grey look great together as it has feminine and masculine elements. You don't want to come off with the wrong shade of pink as you might feel like you've stumbled into a 6 year old girls room but if you pick some more blush shades you'll find that pink can be quite calming.

I obviously took to Pinterest in an effort to find some inspiration for the new direction of my room. I can get a little addicted, anyone else spent hours on Pinterest without even realising it? So in the end I was left with the little mood board above. What do you think?

The paint colour is by Farrow & Ball in the shade Pink Ground, I really liked this colour as it isn't 'barbie pink', very subtle while still being obviously pink. If you are looking for a dark shade of grey Farrow & Ball have a shade called Down Pipe which is beautiful. We've actually got a light shade of grey in our room as we're in the attic, I tried to avoid dark colours in an effort to make it seem large and airy. But if I had more natural light in the room, I think I'd go for something dark like this.

Can Oliver Bonas do any wrong when it comes to interiors? I'm constantly lusting after things on their website. The dusty pink chair would be a welcome addition to any boudoir. I can imagine this being  a focal point of the room. And the marble based lamp brings a touch of pink to your bedside.

I am a little bit biased but when it comes to homeware I love La Redoute (ok I'm SUPER biased). This copper side table is a little piece of art in its own right and reminds me how good pink, grey and copper look together. The mongolian fluffy cushions would take your bed to new levels of luxury. Have you ever cuddle up to one of these? SO soft! I've got my eye on some lovely blush pink linen bedding too, something which is definitely worth investing in.

  1. I love the blush pink & grey theme. It's so soft but captures both female / male styles perfectly. I think I need to get to work on making my home more of a home now...
