What To Wear To The Airport

It might sound extravagant but at the start of this year I promised myself three holidays a year. These don’t have to be extravagant holidays to far flung places. Just three holidays to re-charge my batteries. I don’t know about you but I’m more effective at work when I’ve had real time to switch off and unwind.

‘Airport chic’ is something that has always escaped me. How do people look so polished and together after a long haul flight? I have key beauty products that I take with me but I have never really nailed true airport comfort. This time though I planned in advance – when you read this I’ll be on my way to sunny Gran Canaria for a girlie break with my mum.

I picked up this striped dress and t-shirt combo from F&F, a real steak at £16. It’s a really made of a really comfortable material, isn’t clingy and manages to not look frumpy all at the same time! Next up is footwear. I don’t know about you but this is the most important part of the outfit.
I picked up these white trainers from La Redoute. I really liked the little added detail of the leopard print, it makes them stand out a little more.  These take a little bit of breaking in but they are really comfy now. Last but not least the jacket. What better jacket to wear when you’re saying Au Revior to England? I love that this jacket makes a statement while still remaining practical. The next time I’ll be wearing this will be on top of plenty of layers when I’m back in the UK.
