Brunch seems to be a luxury to me, I only ever seem to have it when I’m on holiday or for a special occasion. There is something that seems quite indulgent about it.
That has all changed now I’ve discovered Ox Club in Leeds city centre. Although it has been open for a while I’ve never actually been. Last weekend I finally ventured there with some fellow bloggers. Ox Club is on the bottom floor of Headrow House and is only open for certain sittings (see the sign the left).
I went for a solid favourite, avocado on sourdough with a poached egg. I also opted for a side of home fries which were delicious. You have to get some if you visit. The other ladies went for the Salt and Pepper Home Fries, Korean Fried Chicken and Coconut French Toast. They have a very select menu which I like. Being over whelmed with options is not for me. Also a small menu means its done well, don’t you think?
The plus point of going for brunch with other bloggers is that we all understand the need to take pictures before having any of the food. You should see us move the plates and cutlery around, it’s like a military operation. We have to take pictures with our cameras, then phones and on this a occasion a instax camera.
I also loved the interiors, plenty of plants and white tile walls. It reminds me I definitely need to pick up more plants for the house.
Brunch becomes less of a luxury when its all under £10. Maybe I could make this a monthly treat without breaking the bank. I’m starting to put together my guide to Leeds Bars & Restaurants on Google Maps. If you have anything to add to the map, drop me a line and I can add your review!
