Last year I found out that my dear friend Lauren (read her blog here) had breast cancer. Obviously cancer is a bitch, it doesn’t care who you are and what you’ve got to achieve. Since the moment Lauren found out she had cancer she has been an absolutely bloody amazing woman.
I joined Lauren and LOTS of friends in London for a fundraiser at the end of last year. It showed how much support this lady had and how much she is going to kick cancer in the ass.
While all this has been going on Lauren has only gone and designed some amazing slogan t-shirts. 25% of all sales go to The Breast Cancer Haven. I have to admit, I didn’t know how to check my knockers for any lumps. After hearing Lauren’s news I decided to educate myself.
You need to look out for a few different things when it comes to your lady lumps. A change in the size, a change in the look or feel of your skin, such as puckering or dimpling. a new lump, that is different from the same area on the other side. If you want to read a full list of indicators please read the NHS site here.
You might want to check them while in the shower, take two fingers feel each breast, under your armpit and up to your collarbone. If you find any of the symptoms listed make an appointment with your GP, everything is worth checking out when it comes to your health. Even if it turns out to be nothing!
Great news, you can now buy your titty slogan tees! If you would like to do your bit for charity and raise awareness, buy a t-shirt from Lauren – you can buy themHERE.
