I’ve always been a tea drinker – I believe everything can be solved with a good cuppa. So when Nespresso got in touch about sending me one of their coffee machines I was determined to give coffee a real try. Working in an office means that I could do with an extra caffeine boost in the afternoon. I was sent the Inissia Coffee Machine in Black, its super sleek and doesn’t take up too much room on my kitchen counter. I’ve also found coffee quite bitter and not particularly easy to drink but Nespresso sent me a while range of coffees to try so I was sure I’d be able to find the something to suit my tastes. I’ve been drawn to the Caramelito and the Vivalto Lungo pods, so maybe I will finally like coffee in my (ahem – late) 20s? With the Nespresso shop popping up in Victoria Gate in Leeds it will be easy to re-stock too.
The machine itself is really easy to use. There is a water storage pot at the back that you can detach and fill, it simply slots back into place. You can pick either an espresso or a lungo size. Pull up the leaver and insert your chosen pod, then push the leaver down until it clicks into place. Once the power is on you have to wait around 25 seconds and you’re ready to go. The lights on the top come on and it’s ready to use.
There is something about having a coffee machine in your kitchen that just completes it. Being able to offer guests a fresh coffee is top level adulting in my books. Don’t you agree? I don’t think I am a full coffee convert just yet – but I taught myself to like olives so anything is possible right?
