Picking pieces that have longevity in your wardrobe is really important, gone are the days of me only buying flash in the pan trends. When I’m looking for pieces like this but don’t want to spend a fortune, I head to TKMaxx. Now there is a special art form when it comes to shopping there (more on that in a later post) but if you get it right you can grab some of the best bargains. They have lots of your favourite labels, along with new brands for you to try out. There really is something to suit all tastes.
I picked up this fabulous Mango suede trench coat, as soon as I saw it on the rail I knew I had to have it. This had a massive discount, it was only £49.99, a steal for something in suede. This is something you can bring out of your wardrobe season after season, as long as you look after it. I look for pieces like this as I know they will never go out of style and I can dress it up or down.
GAP jeans are a label I look for when I’m in TKMaxx, they fit me so well and I know that I’ll get my wear out of denim. I have around 20 pairs of jeans now but I know the shape that fits and flatters me so I always look for this style in different washes. The real test for new additions to any wardrobe, is that they mix in with items you already have. I teamed up my new purchases with a trusty breton t-shirt and some white chunky heeled pumps. The perfect Parisienne style look.
The new dual TKMaxx and Homesense store has opened in Knaresborough, St James’ Retail Park – which is where I found these fabulous wardrobe staples. Let me know if you head down to TKMaxx and pick up any new pieces – I’d love to know what you bought! I’ll be heading to Homesense next for an interiors project…
