Styling a Bar Cart On A Budget With HomeSense

Now I'll be honest because of the size of the furniture in my house at the moment I can't actually fit a full bar cart in my home. This is a sore point for me as I've had my eye on a few for a while now. As I was wandering around HomeSense the other day I was thinking about how I could style a 'bar cart style' area in my house - on a budget of course.

As I can't actually fit a proper bar cart in my house so I've mad a little bar area instead. This is perfect for anyone with limited room or if you're in rented accommodation and don't want to spend a lot of money on furniture.

The first thing I picked up was this lovely little tray which was actually in the clearance section so it was the grand total of £13. I really loved the mirrored surface and the detail around the side of it. Its the perfect size for everything you need to create your bar area - what do you think?

Next up are these amazing tumblers with little gold cacti - these were really inexpensive at £2.49 each. As soon as I saw these I knew they had to be part of my little bar area. I feel like these were made for Pinterest, right?!

Every bar cart needs a cocktail shaker and a measure, you'll find a variety of these at your local HomeSense. I liked the idea of clashing the gold and copper together and I think it looks quite effective, what do you think?

I also had to pick up these cute little cacti candles to scatter around, keeping with the theme expertly. How cute are they? I really don't want to burn them. I also had to include some real greenery in the mix, you can opt for something real or fake. It makes me laugh how small it looks here, maybe I should of gone for a bigger plant?

I added a little light box too, I like that you can change up the lettering depending on your mood. I have a few of these around my house. Of course you can't forget your alcohol, this is where most of your budget will go. I went for my favourite dark rum, Havana Club. I thought it was the most appropriate with the cacti theme? Let's not talk about how empty it is...

Just a reminder the dual TKMaxx and Homesense store has opened in Knaresborough, at St James' Retail Park. Let me know if you find any bargains in HomeSense - I love a good nosey.

This post is in collaboration with TKMaxx and Homsense. All creative and words are my own.
