I don’t know about you but these days my make-up routine is all about cutting down on the amount of time I spend applying it. I think I’m in search of the perfect ‘no make-up’ look that just
enhances your features. I’ve been trailing a few products and I think
I’ve found my winning combination for the moment.
I’ce actually managed to get my routine down to a record 10 minutes and that’s at my go slow morning pace. These products are easy to use and makes getting ready a pleasure not a chore. I’m hoping you’ll find some of your new favourites below. Let me know if you have already tried them too, I want to know your thoughts.
When I need something with a little more coverage I reach for Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation, this is a great everyday foundation that isn’t cakey and leaves you like an overall health complexion. I don’t want to feel like there is something too heavy on my face and this does the job perfectly.
Vita Liberata products have been helping me with my ‘glow’ for a while now and I can’t get enough of their Trystal Mineral Powder. This bronzer is perfect to use as a finishing powder over your normal foundation for that sun kissed look. I’ve been using this lately on it’s own without foundation, after catching a natural tan. The bronzer has self-tanning properties, so you are left with subtle glow after that make-up has come off.
I finish off my base with a big swirl of the Hourglass Ambient light palette – it really makes my make-up pop and whenever I wear it I get loads of compliments on my skin, even if I’m having a bad day.
I’ve used a few New CID products in the past and have always wondered why they seem so under the radar. Their Smoulder smokey eye shadow and pencil is the perfect ‘lazy girl’s’ way to a understated smokey eye. I sweep the eye shadow across my lid and smudge with my finger, the eye liner is the perfect matching shade and has great staying power.
I don’t want to have spider lashes when I’m tryin spider lashes when I’m trying to do a more natural look, Charlotte Tilbury’s Full Fat Lashes is more subtle than I expected (based on the name) but I like the overall lift it gives to my lashes and doesn’t clump or shed.
I’ve been trying a more natural looking brow lately with the help of Benefit. I’ve being using their Ready, Set, Brow Gel to get my brows into the right position. I brush up and out for those interested, it seems to create the full look I’m going for. Then I go in with the Precisely My Brow pencil, this allows me to create short strokes that imitate the hairs, creating a fuller more natural look.
And there you have it, that’s all the products I’m using at the moment for a more stripped back easy Summer look. What are you loving at the moment?
