I’ve been a little bit absent from the blog recently. After nearly 9 years of blogging I feel like I’m kind of hitting a little bit of a creative brick wall. It’s not something I want to happen as I don’t ever see myself not blogging.
I was inspired by reading Melissa’s post about the questions to ask yourself when planning the future of your blog. Now it’s important for me to create better content, which means its going to be quality over quantity. I think I’ll be committing myself to two posts a week, which gives me more time to work on the posts and less time thinking about putting any old content out there just to have something to say. Like she says in her post, it’s hard to not compare yourself to others. I’ve got so many successful and creative friends who are killing it. I sometimes put myself down when comparing myself to others but I have to remember, I also have a full time job. I think cutting down on post quantity will let me breathe a little and prevent blogger burn out.
My downfall comes from not having the quality pictures to go with my words. I’m trying to be more organised, this weekend I met with Lucinda and managed to get these shots in between drinks and gossiping. I’ve been meaning to shoot these Vans for a while, they were kindly given to me by Foot Asylum. They now have a women’s only store in Leeds, the first of its kind. I’ve found myself wearing them a lot at the moment, they just seem to go with so much of my wardrobe. Oh and obviously they are comfy as hell. This is a standard outfit for me; t-shirt, jeans and some sassy earrings. These are THE famous H&M earrings, which I may or may not now have in four colours.
