I have a confession, I’m a little bit into French style. I know, so is everyone else. I’ve had a few brands on my radar for a while now and I thought I’d share them with you all in the hope that you discover a brand you haven’t heard of before and possibly a new favourite.
Rouje is the brand created by ultimate french cool girl Jeanne Damas. If you don’t know who she is, where have you been?! I’ll wait here while you check out her Instagram…. Anyway the collections on the site are to die for and I have a wish list as long as my arm. The things I think they do really well are the traditional Parisian basics like their little tea dresses and wrap-over style blouses.
Sézane are a brand that have been on my radar for a while. They actually did a collaboration with La Redoute a few years ago (which Jeanne Damas modelled for) so I have a few of those pieces. Recently though I’ve seen the brand pop-up on all my favourite accounts on Instagram, so I’m sure you’ll of heard of them. The best thing about Sézane for me are the shoes, really different and great quality.
Looking for something a little different – ba&sh is the one for you. Best friends Barbara and Sharon (ba&sh get it?!) wanted to make a brand by women for women. They create really wearable pieces that will fast become your wardrobe favourites. Slogan tees, date night dresses and statement jackets ba&sh have it all.
Leon & Harper say they are a brand for the busy girl. I find that a lot of french fashion is not only incredibly chic but actually functional too. There is nothing too fussy or over the top about it. You can just throw it on and have that certain Je Ne Sais Quoi. Classic breton, floaty blouses and wide leg jeans are the things I have my eye on.
