Awkward Summer Dressing

When I sat down to edit these pictures I noticed how much my hair is all of the place, but who can be bothered to photoshop stray hairs out? Not me. So I hope you can deal with the baby-hairs and the shadows they create.

I don’t know about you but despite being a TOTAL sun-worshipper I really struggle to dress for the warmer months in the UK (when I say months I mean a couple of weeks hah). You can’t dress how you would on holiday because you actually have to do things like go to work or your weekly shop etc. So you can’t just nip to Tesco in your denim short shorts and a minimal tank top. Well I don’t feel like I can.

I’ve being wearing these Topshop MOM jeans to death recently, I carry on wearing jeans in the UK over summer as it never really gets THAT hot. Although if it does I swap out the jeans for a denim skirt.

I’ve been really into bodysuits lately. I think it’s because I always tuck in t-shirts etc into my jeans anyway so this is just the pre-ready version. This particular one is from Primark but I’ve linked something similar below.

Espadrilles are my go to summer shoe, for both casual and more dressy occasions. This pair from Castaner are perfect for adding something a little extra, if you wanted to keep it super causal you could keep it with some Converse. Of course I had a trusty pair of sunglasses with me, there red cat-eye sunnies are the perfect match for the bodysuit.

Mainly it’s about using items in your wardrobe that you already have and adding something that will keep you cool during a heatwave. Now I have to go I’m off to pick up this bodysuit in every colour….
