It would seem that I’ve ended up taking a long extended break from my blog. It wasn’t intentional but it never is. Life gets in the way. And man, this year life has REALLY got in the way. The kind of things that knock you for six and leave you very little time to do anything else. I haven’t had the head space. I always promised myself that I would only blog while it was enjoyable. Once it became a chore then I would leave it until it brought me joy again.
In October my 10 year blog-aversary came and went without a peep from me. I had a whole plan you see. A big photoshoot, maybe holding a 1-0 balloon in the middle of the street, smile stretched across my face and lots of lessons I’ve learned over the years. Little anecdotes of blogging from back in the day.
But in reality I didn’t have the energy for it and I didn’t really know what to say. I’ve decided that there is no point dwelling in the past. All I’m thinking about right now is 2019 and the possibilities the next year will bring. Is there any content you’d like to see more of?
I’m planning more for this little corner of the internet. More interiors content, as I continue to change things in my home. More streams of consciousness, I want to take it back a little (ok, ok so I am looking back) and just write what I want. I’ve always been at the mercy of photography, if I didn’t have an accompanying image it didn’t get published. I’m going to publish more with a simple iPhone picture. The phone I have now takes x10000 better images than when I first started blogging, so I’ll try not to over think using them next year.
So here’s to what’s left of my 30th year. Let’s make the next 12 months the best yet.
