I’m always on the look out for new brunch spots in Leeds and I think I might of found my new favourite one.
The Vanguard has popped up on Duncan Street and it’s secured itself as a firm brunch favourite for those in the know. Sister bars include Domino Club and Roland’s (my favourite bar in Leeds)
The best thing is they serve brunch until 4pm, none of this brunch stops at 11.30am nonsense. I.am.here.for.this.
We all had something different for brunch which meant I got to see a few of the dishes in the flesh. The menu isn’t extensive but I kind of like that. I’ve been a couple of times now and the menu has changed slightly every time. I was a basic millennial and got avocado on toast each time. But as you can see from the pictures below they were slightly different can time. The first time is came with petals and a smallish hash brown. The second time they must of taken one look at me and known I was hungry because the hash browns were a lot more meaty second time around. My friends went for the Eggs Benedict and the French Toast, which both got a big thumbs up.
The interiors are pretty cool too; wood, copper and marble tables make it the perfect place for you to Instagram your food from. The place was made to be tagged. We spent a good 5 minutes taking shots of our food before we ate it. Ah the life of a blogger, eh?
Further more, behind the counter they have a giant unit which spins around in the evening to reveal a bar. Does that mean I can sit in here all day and night? I hope so.
Looking for more places to eat in Leeds – look no further.
